GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Nine Grove City College women's soccer players scored goals Wednesday night to help the Wolverines earn a 10-0 win over visiting Bethany in both teams' Presidents' Athletic Conference opener at Don Lyle Field.
Senior forward
Hannah Plunkard (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) scored twice for the 20th-ranked Wolverines (4-0-1) while freshman midfielder
Ava Soley (Butler, Pa./Butler) posted a goal and an assist. Sophomore forward
Payton Allan (Louisville, Ohio/Louisville) also scored once and assisted on a second goal.

Kiara White (Perkiomenville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley), junior midfielder
Grace Platt (Elgin, Ill./Wheaton Academy), sophomore forward

Sasha Sansone (Pittsburgh, Pa./Trinity Christian) also scored Wednesday night.
Horst opened the scoring at 8:23 with her third goal of the season. Senior midfielder
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) assisted Horst's goal, extending her own point streak to five matches.
Plunkard doubled the lead at 20:29 by scoring her first goal. Junior midfielder
Marina Hahn (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) assisted the goal, recording the first of her two assists on the night. The lead grew to 3-0 exactly 14 minutes later when Sansone scored off a Soley assist. It is Sansone's first goal of 2026.
Platt gave Grove City a 4-0 halftime lead when she scored at 42:51. Freshman midfielder
Maddie Wivell (Leesburg, Va./Evergreen Christian) assisted Platt's goal.
Soley opened the second-half scoring 69 seconds into the period when she blasted in her sixth goal of the season. Allan recorded the assist.Â
The Wolverines then scored four goals in a five-minute span. Tischler opened the barrage with an unassisted goal at 52:21. Plunkard's second unassisted goal followed at 53:38 while Allan scored an unassisted goal at 54:41. White closed the outburst with an unassisted goal at 57:22.
Palmisano capped the scoring with her first goal of 2026, which came at the 63:45 mark. Hahn assisted Palmisano's score.Â
Grove City amassed a 37-5 edge in total shots, along with a 21-0 margin in shots on goal. Grove City had 10 corner kicks while Bethany netted a pair of corners.Â

Maddie Mills (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) played the first half for Grove City while sophomore
Ella Lotz (McKeesport, Pa./South Allegheny) played the final 45 minutes in goal.
The Wolverines will travel to Saint Vincent for a 6 p.m. conference match Saturday in Latrobe.Â
