GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Presidents' Athletic Conference named Grove City College junior Luke Gronbeck (Gibsonia, Pa./Eden Christian) as its Men's Golfer of the Week Tuesday afternoon in recognition of his performance at the recent Penn State Altoona Toftrees Invitational.

Gronbeck placed third out of 84 golfers at the tournament by shooting a 6-under, 138 for 36 holes. He shot 70 in the first round, then closed the tournament with a 68 Monday. Gronbeck carded six birdies overall and recorded a pair of eagles in the event.

Gronbeck also earned Golfer of the Week two weeks ago after placing second in an 89-man field at the Westminster Invitational in New Castle, Pa. He is the reigning Player of the Year in the conference.

The Grove City men's golf team returns to action September 20-21 at Allegheny College's Kuhn Invitational in Meadville.
