BETHANY, W.Va. -- The Grove City College women's lacrosse team recorded its third straight shutout Wednesday afternoon as the Wolverines whitewashed host Bethany, 22-0, in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Don Ault Field. It is Grove City's 12th straight overall victory.
Grove City's defense limited Bethany (7-7, 3-4) to one shot on goal and three total shots. The Wolverines also forced 29 Bethany turnovers. Senior defender
Reese Hasley (Cheswick, Pa./Deer Lakes) and freshman defender
Gabri Hallam (Buffalo, N.Y./Clarence) both caused four turnovers while junior midfielder
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) caused two turnovers.
In goal, senior
Mia Gallagher (Mogadore, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban) recorded her fourth shutout of the season by stopping one shot.
Offensively, the Wolverines (12-3, 8-0) received another balanced attack as a dozen players scored goals. Freshman midfielder
Avery Anderson (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) scored four times while junior attack
Taylor Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) and junior midfielder
Jess Robinette (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley) both scored three goals.

Mia Mygatt (Silver Spring, Md./Brookewood) and freshman midfielder
Maddie LaForte (Waterford, Conn./Waterford) all scored two goals. Senior attack

Blythe also had four assists, marking the fifth time this season that she has had seven or more points in a game. Stevenson had two assists while Hallam, Hasley, LaForte, Porter, Robinette, Rowell and Shilling tallied one assist each.
Stevenson led Grove City with six ground balls. Hallam and Hasley both picked up five ground balls. Hallam also had five draw controls.
Grove City finished with a 33-3 edge in shots. The Wolverines had 13 turnovers.
Grove City returns home next Wednesday to host Otterbein at 6 p.m. in non-conference action.
