PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College men's lacrosse team scored eight times in the first 14 minutes Saturday afternoon on the way to an 18-7 road victory over Chatham in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Graham Field.

Mac Faircloth (Greensboro, N.C./Page) and freshman midfielder
Mason Lyons (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) paced Grove City's balanced offensive attack by scoring four goals each. Senior attacks

Stewart McClain (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) both scored twice, as did freshman attack

Greene opened the scoring with a goal 2:02 into the first period. Twenty seconds later, Lyons scored a man-down goal to double the lead. Faircloth, Ryan and senior defender
Sam Stevenson (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) followed with goals as Grove City opened a 5-0 lead in the first five minutes of the game.

Tucker Saums (Greensboro, N.C./Northwest Guilford) added scores in the first quarter as the Wolverines lead 8-1 after one period.

Colton Lehberg (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./Santa Fe Christian) picked up a team-leading seven ground balls. Fox and senior long stick midfielder
Samuel Busby (Doswell, Va./Patrick Henry) both picked up four ground balls. Busby caused two turnovers.
Grove City posted 46 total shots while Chatham recorded 35 shots. The Wolverines owned a 33-18 edge in shots on goal. Senior goalie
Tyler Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) secured the win by making 11 saves.
Grove City (4-7, 3-0) finished the game with 14 turnovers. Chatham (6-3, 1-1) finished with 19 turnovers.
The Wolverines will host Allegheny at 6 p.m. Wednesday in conference action at Robert E. Thorn Field.
