GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's volleyball team earned a 21-25, 25-21, 28-26, 25-22 home victory Saturday afternoon over Geneva in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at the Grove City College Arena.
Freshman
Evan DiMalanta (Medina, Ohio/Highland) paced Grove City's balanced offensive attack with 11 kills while junior
Carson Good (Jeannette, Pa./Penn-Trafford) recorded 10 kills. Junior
Andrew Kessler (Jeannette, Pa./Penn-Trafford) posted nine kills while senior
Tieg Malcolm (New Philadelphia, Ohio/Homeschooled) and junior
Max Gianneski (Butler, Pa./Butler) both tallied six kills.
The Wolverines also received five kills on only eight attacks from senior
Derrick Lambert (Denver, Pa./Garden Spot).
Junior setter
Craig Fair (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) distributed 41 assists. Malcolm served two aces.
Malcolm also led the defense with eight total blocks. Good garnered five blocks while Kessler added four blocks. Sophomore libero
Keith Otto (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) recorded a season-high 18 digs. Gianneski chipped in nine digs.
Grove City (10-14, 3-6) evened the regular season series with Geneva by virtue of Saturday's win. Geneva (8-16, 2-7) picked up a 25-18, 25-20, 25-20 home win February 25 over the Wolverines.
The Wolverines will visit Bethany in conference action Tuesday at 6 p.m.
