GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's lacrosse team opened its 2026 home schedule Wednesday evening by dropping an 11-10 overtime decision to Oberlin in non-conference action at Don Lyle Field. Oberlin's Kylie Thompson scored an unassisted goal with 3:09 left in overtime to give the Yeomen (2-0) the win.
Four Grove City players scored multiple goals, led by a three-goal performance from junior midfielder
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler). Senior attack
Jackie Rowell (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) posted two goals and a pair of assists while junior attack
Gwen Shilling (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) and sophomore midfielder
Mia Mygatt (Silver Spring, Md./Brookewood) both scored twice.

Jess Robinette (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley) added a goal and an assist. Junior attack
Taylor Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) chalked up a team-leading three assists in her season debut. Freshman
Maddie LaForte (Waterford, Conn./Waterford) picked up two assists in her home debut.
Each team finished with 21 total shots. Grove City held a 16-14 edge in shots on goal. Grove City turned over possession 18 times while Oberlin committed 13 turnovers.Â

Gabri Hallam (Buffalo, N.Y./Clarence) led Grove City (0-3) with four caused turnovers. Stevenson caused three turnovers. Hallam also led the Wolverines with eight draw controls and Shilling tallied five draw controls.Â
Hallam and Robinette both picked up five ground balls. Stevenson collected four ground balls.Â

Grove City's three losses are by a combined four goals. The Wolverines will play twice in Clearwater, Fla., next week, starting with a 12:30 p.m. game Monday against Marian (Wis.).
