Jake Parker (Edgewater, Md./St. Mary's Annapolis) fired in seven goals and added seven assists for a Grove City-record 14 points while classmate
Owen Edkins (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) pumped in six goals and added four assists Tuesday night as the Grove City College men's lacrosse team downed visiting Franciscan, 31-8, in both teams' Presidents' Athletic Conference opener at Robert E. Thorn Field.

Mason Lyons (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) added five goals for the Wolverines (2-1, 1-0). Freshman midfielders
Caden Ryan (Reading, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) and
Tucker Saums (Greensboro, N.C./Northwest Guilford) both scored three times and junior defender
Evan Curry (Huntington Beach, Calif./Mater Dei) scored two goals.

Edkins scored twice in the first quarter while Parker recorded three assists to help Grove City grab a 5-1 lead after one quarter. Parker then added three goals in the second period while Curry had a goal and two assists as the lead swelled to 14-2 by halftime.

Alex Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) each had one assist.
Collins won 11 of 18 faceoffs and finished with eight ground balls. Moravec, Parker and Saums all had five ground balls. Collins also caused three turnovers. Fellowes, Saums and sophomore defender
Brady Miller (Webster, N.Y./Webster Schroeder) caused two turnovers apiece.
Grove City forced 25 turnovers. Grove City committed 16 turnovers. The Wolverines also had an 81-22 edge in total shots, including a 55-12 margin in shots on goal.Â

Dylan Crownover (Loveland, Colo./Resurrection Christian) played the first half and earned the win. He made one save. Junior
Kyle Gill (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) played the final 30 minutes and stopped three shots.Â
Grove City will visit Rochester Institute of Technology at 12 p.m. Saturday.Â
