GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer and football programs each produced a Presidents' Athletic Conference weekly award winner, as announced Monday afternoon by the conference office.

Senior midfielder Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) earned Offensive Player of the Week in women's soccer while freshman linebacker Jack Dare (Prince Frederick, Md./St. Mary's Ryken) captured Newcomer of the Week in football.

Stevenson scored in each of Grove City's two conference matches last week as the Wolverines went 1-0-1 to stay atop the league standings. She recorded a goal and an assist last Wednesday in the Wolverines' 5-0 home win over Hiram. She went over the 100-point mark for her career in Wednesday's victory.

Stevenson then scored in the eighth minute Saturday in a 1-1 draw at Allegheny. She currently ranks second in the conference with 13 goals and 31 points. Her 47 career goals and 103 career points both rank fourth in program history.

Dare had a season-high four tackles, one tackle for loss and a half sack Saturday in Grove City's 52-7 victory over Hiram. He finished tied for second on the team in tackles in the game as the Wolverines held Hiram to seven points, 23 fewer than the Terriers' season average entering the game.

The women's soccer team (11-1-3, 7-0-2) will visit Washington & Jefferson at 5 p.m. Tuesday in conference play. Meanwhile, the Grove City football team (4-2, 3-0) travels to conference foe Waynesburg for a noon kickoff Saturday.
