GROVE CITY, Pa. – Twelve All-Presidents' Athletic Conference honorees, including returning three NCAA Division III All-Americans, will lead the Grove City College men's swimming and diving team in the 2026-27 season.
That nucleus, along with several other veterans and a talented crop of newcomers, will look to keep the Wolverines atop the conference this winter.
Seniors
Owen Hancock (Brunswick, Ohio/Westside Christian) and
Bryce Pope (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Valley Classical) both return after earning All-America honors last year, as does sophomore
George Witte (Columbia, S.C./Covenant Classical Christian).
The versatile Hancock also earned the conference's Most Valuable Performer award last February and will help lead the Wolverines in the backstroke and butterfly events.
Pope will pace Grove City in the breaststroke events while Witte expects to be one of Grove City's top performers in both freestyle and backstroke events.
All three men earned First Team All-Conference last season.
Five decorated fourth-year men will join Hancock and Pope in the senior class. Breaststroke performer
Andrew Buxbaum (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) returns after earning First Team All-Conference in 2026. He is the returning conference runner-up in the 200 breaststroke and has earned All-PAC distinction in each of his first three seasons.
Senior backstroker
Charlie Cratty (Latrobe, Pa./Latrobe) has earned Second Team All-Conference in each of his first three seasons and is expected to again be a key contributor in that stroke again this winter. He could also compete in the butterfly again this season.
Distance specialist
C.J. Mayhew (Gaithersburg, Md./Homeschooled) has won the conference title in the 1650 and 800 free relay during his career and will be one of the league's top distance swimmers again this year. Mayhew has been named First Team All-PAC in each of his first three seasons at Grove City.
Like Mayhew, senior
Josh Remlinger (Granville, Ohio/Granville) has achieved All-PAC distinction in each of his first three seasons. The butterflier has been named All-PAC First Team twice and is one of the conference's top returning butterfly competitors.
Senior
William Rankine (Warner Robins, Ga./Houston County) returns in the breaststroke and freestyle events for his fourth season. A national record-holder in several para-athlete events (SB12 class), Rankine has helped the Wolverines the conference title in each of his first three seasons.
He will contend for a spot in the scoring lineup again in 2026-27.
The Wolverine roster features two juniors who both earned First Team All-PAC last year,
Aidan McCarthy (Knoxville, Tenn./Christian Academy of Knoxville) and
Ryan Turner (Fombell, Pa./Riverside). McCarthy has emerged in the distance races as his career has progressed. He will look to again be one of the Wolverines' top entries in the longer freestyle events. Turner is a past conference champion in the 200 free and will be one of the Wolverines' top performers in the 100 and 200 freestyle.
Six teammates join Witte in the sophomore class. Sophomore
Patrick Cratty (Latrobe, Pa./Latrobe) returns in the freestyle events after being named to the conference's First Team last season.
Second-year performer
Bahdan Huryn (Southampton, Pa./William Tennent) will look to bolster the Wolverines in the freestyle and butterfly events. Meanwhile, sophomore backstroker
Josh Langworthy (Bowdoinham, Maine/Mount Ararat) is back for his second season after landing on the conference's Second Team as a rookie.
Sophomore freestyle/backstroke swimmer
Lucas McCreadie (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) will compete for a spot in the lineup this year after having his rookie season shortened by injury.
Sophomore
Connor Morgan (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) highlighted his freshman season by finishing as the conference runner-up in the 1650. A First Team All-PAC honoree, Morgan is expected to again be a key contributor in the distance events this season.
Freestyle and butterfly swimmer
Heinrich Van Der Westhuizen (Latrobe, Pa./Latrobe) rounds out Grove City's seven-man sophomore platoon. He will compete for a spot in the lineup this year.
Six newcomers comprise the 2026-27 freshman class.
Grove City opens the season Friday, October 15, 2026 with a quad meet in Webster, N.Y., against Geneseo State, Nazareth and Penn State Behrend. Grove City will again host the conference championships February 17-20, 2027 in James E. Longnecker Pool.
