HUNTINGDON, Pa. -- Frigid shooting Saturday afternoon foiled the Grove City College women's basketball team Saturday afternoon as the Wolverines dropped a 70-48 decision at Juniata in non-conference action at Memorial Gymnasium. Grove City, which entered the game on a six-game winning streak, went 19 of 73 (26 percent) from the field overall and 1 for 19 from behind the three-point line.

Alexis Hudson (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) paced Grove City with 13 points while senior center
Meredith Sherrerd (New Braunfels, Texas/New Braunfels) added 11 points. Sherrerd also led Grove City with five rebounds.
Juniata led 23-15 after one quarter, then pushed the lead to 38-24 by halftime. Juniata led 52-34 after 30 minutes. The Eagles outrebounded Grove City, 49-35.
Grove City finished with 14 turnovers while Juniata committed 22 turnovers. Juniata finished 25 of 51 (49 percent) on field goal attempts. Bri Bodtorf led the Eagles with 19 points.
Grove City (8-3) will host Westminster at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in Presidents' Athletic Conference North Division action.
