GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision Wednesday night to visiting Carnegie Mellon (6-1-1) in non-conference action at Don Lyle Field.

Meghan Tischler (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) and blasted the ball into the goal, cutting the lead in half.
No. 19 Carnegie Mellon took a 1-0 lead 2:59 into the match when Haley Peek's shot deflected off of a Grove City defender an into the net. The Tartans pushed the lead to 2-0 at 59:29 when Alma Zhong scored her first goal of 2025.

Maddie Mills (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna) stopped a career-high 10 shots for the Wolverines. She stopped seven shots in the second half.
CMU held a 24-4 edge in total shots, along with a 12-2 margin in shots on goal. Grove City earned six corner kicks in the match while CMU netted eight corners.
Grove City will host Penn State Behrend at 1 p.m. Saturday in non-conference play.
