GETTYSBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team improved to 3-0 by capturing two wins Saturday at Gettysburg College's Battlefield Classic. The Wolverines opened the day with a 25-11, 25-14, 25-23 victory over Neumann in Hen Bream Gymnasium.
Grove City then capped the weekend with a come-from-behind 16-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-22, 15-9 win over Shenandoah in Saturday's finale.
Sophomore
Lilly Pool (Ashland, Ohio/Ashland) helped pace the Wolverines against Shenandoah by recording nine kills on only 12 attacks. Junior
Sarah Hart (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) posted eight kills and junior
Alayna Dorst (Middletown, Del./Middletown) added seven kills.Â
Dorst and Hart both served three aces. Junior setter
Sarah Harris (Lebanon, Ohio/Mars Hill) recorded 14 assists while senior
Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) set 13 assists.Â

Lily Lagaras (Crofton, Md./Crofton) recorded a team-leading five blocks while Pool produced four blocks. Hart and junior
Kendra Klusch (Alliance, Ohio/Homeschooled) each had three blocks. Dorst delivered 18 digs and Wirebaugh tallied 15 digs.
Dorst's nine kills helped pace Grove City in the opener against Neumann. Klusch contributed eight kills while Hart added seven kills. Dorst and Klusch each served three aces. Wirebaugh tallied 14 assists and Harris contributed nine assists.Â
Klusch led Grove City with three blocks. Dorst chalked up a team-best 14 digs while sophomore defensive specialist
Lilly Wojtala (Copley, Ohio/Revere) chipped in eight digs.Â
The Wolverines return to action next weekend with three matches at Oberlin College. Friday, Grove City faces Wooster at 2 p.m. before meeting Oberlin at 6 p.m. Next Saturday, Grove City meets Adrian at 11 a.m.
