GETTYSBURG, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team opened the 2025 season Friday afternoon with a 25-21, 20-25, 27-25, 25-19 win over Dickinson in the first day of action at Gettysburg College's Battlefield Classic in Hen Bream Gymnasium.
Junior
Sarah Hart (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) made her Grove City debut by racking up 18 kills while classmate
Alayna Dorst (Middletown, Del./Middletown) added 11 kills. Sophomore
Brooke Manfull (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) recorded eight kills in her Grove City debut.
Manfull also recorded 18 assists while senior setter
Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) and junior
Sarah Harris (Lebanon, Ohio/Mars Hill) each totaled 14 assists.Â
Sophomore
Lilly Pool (Ashland, Ohio/Ashland) helped pace the defense by tallying four total blocks. Junior
Kendra Klusch (Alliance, Ohio/Homeschooled) collected three blocks while Hart and Manfull each had a pair of blocks.Â
Dorst led Grove City with 18 digs. Sophomore
Lilly Wojtala (Copley, Ohio/Revere) chalked up 17 digs while Hart and Manfull each posted 11 digs.Â
The Wolverines (1-0) will play twice Saturday at Gettysburg. Grove City faces Neumann at 11 a.m., then closes the weekend with a 1:30 p.m. match against Shenandoah.
