GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's track and field team won 12 events Wednesday at the Wolverines' Mini-Invitational, held at Robert E. Thorn Field.
Three Grove City performers earned multiple wins in Wednesday's meet. Senior
Nick Petucci (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) won the long and triple jumps while classmate
Ryan Lenhart (New Castle, Pa./Shenango) took first in the discus and shot put. Junior
Alex Mitchell (Hummelstown, Pa./Harrisburg Christian) helped lead Grove City on the track by winning the 200 and 400 meters.
Petucci won the long jump with a best leap of 20 feet, 10 inches and then recorded a top mark of 42-9 in the triple jump. Lenhart tossed the discus 141 feet, 9 inches and recorded a top heave of 45-7 in the shot put.
Mitchell won the 200 meters in a time of 22.20 seconds and recorded a winning clocking of 48.40 in the 400.
Junior
Isaac Busler (Butler, Pa./Butler) won the 800 meters in 1:59.45 while classmate
Michael Singley (Duncannon, Pa./Susquenita) prevailed in the steeplechase with a time of 9:48.26. Freshman
Brandon Kendrew (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) won the 110 hurdles in a time of 16.25 seconds.

Jeremiah Knowles (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) and freshman
Caleb Haley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) won the 400-meter relay in a time of 43.13 seconds.
Graduate student
Gabe Dunlap (Harrison City, Pa./Penn-Trafford) fired the javelin 188 feet, 1 inch to take the top spot in that event. Freshman
William Britton (Westfield, Ind.) cleared 13-7 1/4 to win the pole vault.
Grove City returns to action May 1-2 at the Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships. The two-day event will be held at West Virginia University.
