GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Senior midfielder
Abby Roetering (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) scored her 100th career goal and junior defender
Reese Hasley (Cheswick, Pa./Deer Lakes) scored her first collegiate goal Tuesday evening as the Grove City College women's lacrosse team closed its regular season home schedule with an 18-0 win over Bethany in Presidents' Athletic Conference play at Don Lyle Field.
Grove City (9-6, 8-0) clinched the top seed in the six-team conference tournament with its win Tuesday. The Wolverines will have home field advantage in the tournament and will host a semifinal game Thursday, May 1.
The Wolverines jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first quarter, then added six more goals in the second quarter to own a 12-0 halftime lead. Roetering scored an unassisted goal with 3:30 left in the first half to become the second player in program history to reach the 100-goal mark.
Hasley, a three-year starter at defender, scored her first goal with 6:33 left in the third period.
Eight teammates joined Hasley and Roetering in the scoring column. Sophomores
Taylor Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima),
Jess Robinette (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley) and
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) all fired in three goals while Roetering and sophomore attack
Gwen Shilling (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) both scored twice.

Anna Korzeniewski (Boyds, Md./Clarksburg), senior defender
Amber Wartman (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron), junior defender
Haylie Porter (Jenks, Okla./Jenks) and freshman attack
Mia Mygatt (Silver Spring, Md./Brookewood) also scored.
Roetering added five assists and finished with a seven-point outing. Mygatt and Stevenson both assisted two goals while Blythe added an assist.
Overall, Grove City outshot Bethany (3-11, 2-4) by a 31-2 margin. Senior goalie
Elyse Kiggins (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) made one save in the first half. Junior
Mia Gallagher (Mogadore, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban) played 30 scoreless minutes in the second half.
Wartman also caused five turnovers while Stevenson and senior defender
Sarah Jackson (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) both caused four turnovers. Roetering caused three turnovers. Bethany finished the game with 32 turnovers while Grove City had 22 turnovers.
Hasley won nine draw controls. Wartman picked up six ground balls while Korzeniewski and Shilling both collected five ground balls.
Grove City closes the regular season Saturday, April 26 at Thiel. Opening draw will be 3 p.m. in Greenville.
