GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Five Grove City College women's lacrosse players scored multiple goals Saturday afternoon to help carry the Wolverines to a 14-5 win over visiting Westminster (7-2, 2-1 PAC) in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Don Lyle Field.
Senior midfielder
Abby Roetering (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) and sophomore midfielder
Jess Robinette (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley) both scored three times for Grove City (5-5, 4-0) while sophomore attack
Gwen Shilling (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional), sophomore midfielder
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) and freshman midfielder
Mia Mygatt (Silver Spring, Md./Brookewood) all scored twice.Â
Junior attack
Jackie Rowell (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) and senior defender
Emily Arnold (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) also chipped in goals. Sophomore attack
Taylor Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) had two assists. Rowell and senior defender
Sarah Jackson (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) both tallied assists.Â
Roetering scored twice in a 90-second span to give the Wolverines a 2-0 lead midway through the first quarter. Grove City led 3-1 after one quarter and then extended the lead to 7-3 by halftime. Robinette's unassisted goal with 16 seconds left in the second quarter gave Grove City its four-goal lead.Â
Grove City outshot Westminster, 33-19, including a 26-14 edge in shots on goal. Westminster had 25 turnovers while Grove City turned over possession 23 times.Â
Senior goalie
Elyse Kiggins (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) made nine saves to earn her 40th career win. She also led Grove City with six ground balls. Stevenson recorded five ground balls and Blythe picked up four ground balls.Â

Amber Wartman (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) all caused two turnovers. Wartman also had seven draw controls.Â
The Wolverines will host Chatham at 5 p.m. Wednesday in conference action at Don Lyle Field.
