BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's volleyball team clinched a home match in the season-ending six-team Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament by earning a 25-21, 25-20, 25-23 victory Friday night at Geneva in Metheny Field House. Grove City improved to 7-4 in the conference and can finish no lower than fourth in the regular season standings.

Max Gianneski (Butler, Pa./Butler) helped pace the Wolverines (12-12) with eight kills while senior
Quintin Norris (Savannah, N.Y./North Rose-Wolcott) and junior
Tieg Malcolm (New Philadelphia, Ohio/Homeschooled) both tallied seven kills.
Malcolm, sophomore setter
Craig Fair (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) and freshman
Keith Otto (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) all served two aces. Fair directed the offense with 27 assists.
Malcolm led the defense with seven blocks while Gianneski added three blocks. Freshman libero
Ben McVey (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) recorded a team-high 15 digs. Otto finished with seven digs.
The top two teams in the conference standings will receive byes to the semifinal round. Thiel has clinched the top seed. The Tomcats and the No. 2 seed will host semifinal matches April 10. The No. 3 and No. 4 teams will host quarterfinals April 8.
Grove City closes its home schedule Wednesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. against conference foe Chatham.
