STEUBENVILLE, Ohio -- Six Grove City College players scored multiple goals Saturday to help vault the Wolverines to a 24-8 win at Franciscan in Presidents' Athletic Conference women's lacrosse action at Trinity Health System Field. The Wolverines' 24 goals are a single-game program record.
Grove City posted 10 goals in the first quarter, then extended its lead to 16-6 by halftime.Â
Sophomore midfielder
Jess Robinette (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley) fired in five goals and added two assists as part of a seven-point afternoon. Two teammates also produced seven-point performances as senior midfielder
Abby Roetering (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) recorded four goals and three assists while sophomore attack
Taylor Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) scored three times and assisted four other goals.

Gwen Shilling (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) and sophomore midfielder
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) both scored four goals while junior attack
Jackie Rowell (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) pumped in a pair of goals.Â
The Wolverines also received a goal and an assist from senior defender
Amber Wartman (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron). Freshman midfielder
Mia Mygatt (Silver Spring, Md./Brookewood) added a goal for Grove City (2-4, 1-0).Â
Roetering scored three times in the first quarter while Blythe and Robinette both scored twice in the period. Stevenson added a goal and an assist in a span of 79 seconds as Grove City led 5-1 with 9:21 remaining in the first quarter.Â
Grove City finished the game with a 40-13 edge in total shots. Grove City had 18 turnovers while forcing 26 Franciscan turnovers.Â

Reese Hasley (Cheswick, Pa./Deer Lakes) caused a season-high five turnovers while Robinette caused four turnovers. Shilling and senior defender
Sarah Jackson (Brookfield, Conn./Brookfield) both caused three turnovers.Â

Elyse Kiggins (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) made two saves in earning the win. She played the first 40 minutes, 56 seconds of the game. Junior

The Wolverines will host Baldwin Wallace at 6 p.m. Tuesday in non-conference play at Don Lyle Field.
