GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's lacrosse team earned its third straight win Saturday afternoon by outlasting visiting Kenyon, 14-10, in non-conference action at Robert E. Thorn Field.
Grove City jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first quarter, then extended the lead to 8-3 in the second period. Kenyon (5-3) pulled to within 10-8 early in the fourth quarter but the Wolverines sealed the win with four goals in a six-minute span.

Alec Jones (Chesterfield, N.J./Notre Dame) scored an unassisted goal with 13:11 left to give the Wolverines an 11-8 lead. Senior midfielder
Zachary Hougan (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) added a pair of unassisted goals in the fourth quarter while junior defender
Sam Stevenson (Greenwood, Ind./Center Grove) also scored in the period.
Hougan led Grove City with four goals and two assists. Senior attack
Matt Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) scored three times while Jones and graduate student midfielder
Luke Jayne (Vero Beach, Fla./Saint Edward's) both scored twice.Â

Kobi Bui (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) also scored for Grove City (4-5).Â

Joshua McDermott (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./Santa Margarita) all recorded assists in the win.Â
Rios led Grove City with four ground balls while Greene and junior faceoff specialist
Colton Lehberg (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./Santa Fe Christian) each picked up three ground balls. McDermott and Zabroski both caused two turnovers.Â
Each team had 15 turnovers. Grove City outshot the Owls, 45-43, but Kenyon owned a 30-29 edge in shots on goal. Graduate student goalie
Danny Stone (Chantilly, Va./Flint Hill) made 20 saves for Grove City.Â
Grove City will visit York (Pa.) next Saturday at 3 p.m. in non-conference action.
