GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's volleyball team opened action at the inaugural two-day Grove City College Invitational by sweeping visiting Carlow, 25-8, 25-19, 25-22 at the Grove City College Arena.
Sophomore
Max Gianneski (Butler, Pa./Butler) led Grove City's balanced attack with seven kills. Junior
Tieg Malcolm (New Philadelphia, Ohio/Homeschooled) posted six kills and senior
Quintin Norris (Savannah, N.Y./North Rose-Wolcott) chipped in five kills.
Sophomore setter
Craig Fair (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) recorded 23 assists while freshman
Josiah Goin (Warrenville, Ill./Homeschooled) tallied 10 assists. Sophomore
Hayden McCreadie (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) served two aces.
Malcolm led Grove City with two blocks. Fair and sophomore
Phillip Schweitzer (Erie, Pa./McDowell) each had four digs.
Grove City (4-6) will host Eastern at 10 a.m. Saturday. The Wolverines will then play Trine in the finale at 4 p.m. Saturday.
