DALLAS, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's lacrosse team dropped a 12-10 decision Thursday evening at Misericordia in non-conference action at Mangelsdorf Field. Grove City (1-2) jumped out to a 5-0 lead but Misericordia rallied to take a 7-6 lead by halftime.
Sophomore midfielder
Jess Robinette (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley) paced Grove City by firing in four goals and adding three assists for a seven-point outing. Freshman
Mia Mygatt (Silver Spring, Md./Brookewood) scored three times while senior midfielder
Abby Roetering (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) recorded two goals and an assist.
Sophomore attack
Taylor Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) added a goal and two assists.
Mygatt scored three times in the first eight minutes to help Grove City grab the early lead. Robinette scored off an assist from sophomore midfielder
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler), then added an unassisted power play goal in the first period.
Blythe scored with eight seconds left in the half, cutting Misericordia's lead to 7-6. Roetering scored 2:31 into the second half, tying the game. However, the hosts surged to a 10-7 lead by the end of the third quarter.
Misericordia owned a 26-23 edge in total shots and a 23-17 edge in shots on goal. Misericordia had 15 turnovers while Grove City turned over possession a dozen times.

Emily Arnold (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) each collected four ground balls.
Senior goalie
Elyse Kiggins (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) stopped 11 shots.
Grove City will face SCAD-Savannah at 5 p.m. next Tuesday in Savannah, Ga.
