GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's volleyball team dropped to 3-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference as visiting Hiram (8-5, 3-0) pulled out a 25-20, 19-25, 25-23, 25-19 victory Wednesday night over the Wolverines in the Grove City College Arena.
Sophomore
Max Gianneski (Butler, Pa./Butler) paced Grove City (8-9) with 13 kills while junior
Tieg Malcolm (New Philadelphia, Ohio/Homeschooled) posted 10 kills. Sophomore
Andrew Kessler (Jeannette, Pa./Penn-Trafford) added seven kills.
Sophomore setter
Craig Fair (Stevens, Pa./Cocalico) recorded 31 assists. He also served two aces.
Fair and Kessler each led the defensive effort with seven total blocks. Malcolm chalked up four blocks while senior
Quintin Norris (Savannah, N.Y./North Rose-Wolcott tallied three blocks.
Freshman libero
Ben McVey (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) recorded a team-leading 17 digs. Norris added 10 digs.
Grove City will visit Thiel (3-0 PAC) at 7 p.m. Friday in Greenville.
