ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Grove City College men's track and field team made its final preparations for the upcoming Presidents' Athletic Conference Championships by competing in the Mount Union Tune-Up, held Friday afternoon and evening.

Alex Mitchell (Hummelstown, Pa./Harrisburg Christian) combined to win the even in a time of 1 minute, 34.38 seconds.Â
Freshman
Caleb Haley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) posted Grove City's top individual placements at the unscored meet by recording a pair of fourth-place finishes in the jumps. He took fourth in the long jump with a best mark of 21 feet, 2 3/4 inches. Haley then earned fourth in the triple jump with a leap of 42-1 1/2.Â
Freshman
Eli Miller (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) earned fifth in the 800 with a time of 2:03.13. Senior
Nick Petucci (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) finished sixth in the triple jump with a best mark of 41-8 3/4. Senior
Ryan Lenhart (New Castle, Pa./Shenango) captured sixth in the shot put (47-1), then added a seventh-place finish in the weight throw with a top toss of 46-5 1/2.Â
Wilson finished eighth in the 400 (53.16) while junior
Isaac Young (Jordan, Minn./Jordan) finished 10th in the 400 with a time of 53.66 seconds. Wilson also captured 11th in the 60 meters with a time of 7.23 seconds, the second-fastest 60 time in program history.Â
Junior
Tucker Owens (Gainesville, N.Y./Letchworth) finished 11th in the weight throw (40-6 1/4). Junior
Michael Chambers (Bridgeville, Pa./Canon-McMillan) cleared 13-10 in the pole vault, good for 12th. Haley finished 12th in the high jump by clearing 5-8 3/4.Â
Junior
Isaac Busler (Butler, Pa./Butler) took 12th in the 800 (2:07.95). Freshman
Joshua Haley (Mechanicsville, Va./Atlee) earned 12th in the 800 with a time of 2:07.95.Â
The Wolverines will compete in the conference championships Thursday, hosted by Youngstown State University.
