GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Sophomore attack 
Sawyer Strong (Westfield, Ind./Westfield) fired in a career-high six goals Tuesday evening while six teammates scored multiple goals to help the Grove City College men's lacrosse team open its home and Presidents' Athletic Conference schedules with a 23-1 victory over Bethany at Robert E. Thorn Field.
Sophomore attack 
Davis Schneider (Winfield, Ill./Wheaton Academy) scored three times for Grove City (1-1, 1-0) while senior midfielder 
Kobi Bui (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) recorded two goals and a team-leading three assists. The Wolverines also received two goals apiece from junior defender 
Andrew Glasgow (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster), sophomore midfielder 
Joshua McDermott (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./Santa Margarita), freshman midfielder 
Ethan Binns (Saint Johns, Fla./The Bolles School) and freshman attack 
Cole Pedroso (Willow Grove, Pa./Upper Dublin).
Junior attack 
Mac Faircloth (Greensboro, N.C./Page) and sophomore midfielder 
Breck Peacock (Wayne, Ill./Wheaton Academy) both notched a goal and an assist while senior defender 
Tyler Curry (Huntington Beach, Calif./Mater Dei) and graduate student midfielder 
Noah Goad (Hudson, Ohio/Western Reserve) also scored in Tuesday's triumph.
Strong scored the first of his four first period goals at 11:56 after receiving an assist from junior attack 
Rigdon Greene (Marietta, Ga./Pope). Bui recorded all three of his assists in the first quarter while freshman faceoff specialist 
Evan Gill (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) assisted on goals by Bui and Strong in the first quarter. 
Senior midfielder 
Alec Jones (Chesterfield, N.J./Notre Dame) also had two assists. Binns, Pedroso, Schneider, graduate student midfielder 
Gabe Jensen (West Chester, Pa./Tatnall, Del.), junior midfielder 
Ryan Walton (Advance, N.C./Davie County), sophomore midfielder 
Evan Curry (Huntington Beach, Calif./Mater Dei), freshman long stick midfielder 
Sean Ledyard (Oceanside, Calif./JSerra) and freshman attack 
Tyler Blazek (Las Vegas, Nev./Bishop Gorman) all assisted one goal.
Grove City led 11-0 after one quarter, then extended the lead to 19-0 by halftime. 
Gill won 21 of 25 faceoffs and led Grove City with 16 ground balls. Schneider and Walton both had three ground balls. 
Grove City outshot Bethany (0-1, 0-1) by a 53-7 margin, including a 29-4 edge in shots on goal. Bethany had 17 turnovers while Grove City turned over possession 13 times. 
Sophomore goalie 
Kyle Gill (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) made two saves in the first half to earn the win. Freshman 
Sam Ryan (Lutherville Timonium, Md./Calvert Hall) played the final three minutes and made one save. 
The Wolverines will visit Ohio Wesleyan at 3 p.m. Saturday in non-conference play.
