HIRAM, Ohio -- The Grove City College women's basketball team shot 62 percent (16 of 26) from the field in the second half Saturday afternoon on the way to a come-from-behind 71-68 road win over Hiram in Presidents' Athletic Conference at Price Gymnasium.
Grove City (6-2, 2-0) trailed 33-27 at halftime but eventually whittled the lead to 51-50 by the end of the third quarter. Grove City then opened the fourth quarter on a 15-4 run.

Alexa McDole (Evans City, Pa./Mars) hit a pair of three-pointers in the outburst while senior center
Meredith Sherrerd (New Braunfels, Texas/New Braunfels) scored twice in the paint. Sophomore forward
Alexis Hudson (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) opened the quarter with a layup, then closed the run by hitting two free throws.
Hudson led Grove City with 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Sherrerd went 7 of 11 from the field on the way to a 16-point outing. McDole added 11.

Reese Hasley (Cheswick, Pa./Deer Lakes) both collected nine rebounds for Grove City as the Wolverines amassed a 44-28 edge on the glass.
The Wolverines finished 26 of 53 (49 percent) from the field while Hiram (2-4, 1-1) hit 26 of 66 (39 percent) field goal attempts.
Hudson also dished out five assists while classmate
Kailey Devlin (Turbotville, Pa./Meadowbrook Christian) had four assists. Hasley and Sherrerd each recorded three assists. Sherrerd also blocked four shots.
Grove City finished with 21 turnovers, 15 of which came in the first half. Hiram, which led 15-13 after one quarter, had 11 turnovers.
Sarah Seaman and Advika Srinivasan led the Terriers with 18 points each.
Winners of four straight games, the Wolverines will face Widener at 10 a.m. Friday, December 19 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
