WHEATON, Ill. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team broke three program records Friday and Saturday on the way to winning the team title at the Wheaton College Invitational. Grove City accumulated 885.5 team points to out-distance runner-up Wisconsin-Stevens Point for the title. Stevens Point had 796 points while Wheaton finished the two-day meet with 726 team points.
Grove City swept the five relay events held Friday and Saturday. Junior

Nathan Beukema (Kensington, Md./Homeschooled) and senior
Caleb Einolf (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) opened the meet by winning the 200 free relay in a time of 1 minute, 21.88 seconds.Â
That foursome also won the 400 free relay in a time of 3:01.43. Witte anchored the victorious 800 free relay (7:07.66), which also featured junior
Bryce Pope (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Valley Classical), freshman
Patrick Cratty (Latrobe, Pa./Latrobe) and sophomore
Ryan Turner (Fombell, Pa./Riverside).Â
Hancock, Pope, Einolf and Beukema set pool, Grove City and Presidents' Athletic Conference records in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:28.32. Hancock, Pope, Einolf and Witte also won the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:19.67.
Einolf won the 100 breaststroke in a program-record time of 53.30 seconds. That time also surpasses the NCAA Championships provisional qualifying standard. He recorded a Grove City-record time of 53.32 in the preliminary heat. Einolf also set a Grove City record in the 100 butterfly by posting a winning time of 47.63 seconds.
Hancock won the 100 backstroke in 50.22.
Pope placed second in the 100 breaststroke (56.71) while Beukema captured runner-up in the 100 free with a time of 45.71 seconds. Junior
Andrew Buxbaum (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) captured runner-up honors in the 200 individual medley (1:55.78). Einolf added a runner-up placement in the 50 free (20.51).
Witte finished second in the 200 free (1:40.78) while junior
C.J. Mayhew (Gaithersburg, Md./Homeschooled) took second in the 400 IM (4:10.18).
Beukema, senior
Logan Myers (Middleburg, Fla./Homeschooled), senior
Sam Thayer (Canton, Ohio/Massillon Jackson) and sophomore
Aidan McCarthy (Knoxville, Tenn./Christian Academy of Knoxville) combined to take second in the 800 free relay as that "B" foursome recorded a time of 7:19.39.
Grove City will visit Penn State Behrend in a non-conference dual meet Saturday, January 17, 2026.
