GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Senior guard
Reese Hasley (Cheswick, Pa./Deer Lakes) posted a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double Friday night while three teammates also scored in double figures as the Grove City College women's basketball team opened the 2025-26 season Friday night with an 84-31 victory over visiting Carlow in a non-conference tussle at the Grove City College Arena.

Alexa McDole (Evans City, Pa./Mars) fired in a career-high 14 points while senior center
Meredith Sherrerd (New Braunfels, Texas/New Braunfels) tossed in a dozen points. Freshman guard
Kate Kline (Nottingham, Pa./Oxford) added 12 points in her collegiate debut.
Grove City (1-0) broke open the game with a 35-6 run over the final 15 minutes of the first half. Freshman guard
Haley Mach (Hillsdale, Mich./Jonesville) sparked the run with a putback while Kline and Hasley followed with consecutive three-pointers.
Grove City led 26-12 after the first quarter and extended the lead to 44-14 by intermission. The Wolverines held a 66-22 lead through 30 minutes.
The Wolverines shot 11 of 24 (46 percent) from behind the three-point line. Overall, Grove City shot 42 percent (29 of 69) from the field. The Wolverines also owned a 44-38 edge in rebounds. Sherrerd collected five rebounds.
Grove City forced Carlow (0-1) to commit 37 turnovers. Those 37 turnovers resulted in 39 Grove City points. Kline recorded four steals while McDole had three thefts.
McDole also had four assists. Hasley and sophomore forward
Kailey Devlin (Turbotville, Pa./Meadowbrook Christian) each assisted three field goals.
Carlow finished 11 of 49 (22 percent) from the field. Gia Rosensteel and Emari Stinnette each scored a team-high six points for the Celtics.
Grove City is now 7-1 in its last eight home openers. The Wolverines will face Baldwin Wallace next Friday at 5:30 p.m. at The College of Wooster.
