GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team dropped a 19-25, 25-21, 25-21, 21-25, 15-12 decision Wednesday night to visiting Hiram (23-2, 14-1) in Presidents' Athletic Conference North Division competition at the Grove City College Arena. Wednesday's match marked the Wolverines' third straight five-set outing.
Four Grove City players produced double-digit kill totals against Hiram, led by a 20-kill performance from junior
Sarah Hart (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty). Junior
Alayna Dorst (Middletown, Del./Middletown) racked up 15 kills while senior
Lila Stonehouse (Hatboro, Pa./Abington) and junior
Lily Lagaras (Crofton, Md./Crofton) both posted 10 kills.Â
Junior setter
Sarah Harris (Lebanon, Ohio/Mars Hill) set 27 assists while sophomore setter
Brooke Manfull (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) total 24 assists. Harris also served two aces.
Sophomore libero
Lilly Wojtala (Copley, Ohio/Revere) led the Wolverines (16-8, 8-7) with 29 digs. Dorst recorded 24 digs while Harris finished with 14 digs. Senior
Bella Costa (Newbury, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) added 12 digs.Â
Sophomore
Lilly Pool (Ashland, Ohio/Ashland) recorded a team-leading three blocks.
Grove City will conclude the regular season Saturday at Geneva. The match will begin at 7 p.m. in Beaver Falls.
