BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team secured a spot in next week's Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament by earning a 25-16, 25-14, 25-20 win Saturday night over host Geneva in PAC North Division play at Metheny Field House.
Junior
Sarah Hart (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) led Grove City (17-8, 9-7) with 16 kills while junior
Alayna Dorst (Middletown, Del./Middletown) recorded eight kills. The Wolverines also received five kills each from senior
Lila Stonehouse (Hatboro, Pa./Abington), junior
Lily Lagaras (Crofton, Md./Crofton) and sophomore
Lilly Pool (Ashland, Ohio/Ashland).Â
Junior setter
Sarah Harris (Lebanon, Ohio/Mars Hill) recorded 17 assists while sophomore
Brooke Manfull (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) set 15 assists. Sophomore
Lilly Wojtala (Copley, Ohio/Revere) added seven assists.
Dorst and Manfull led Grove City with 14 digs while Wojtala totaled a dozen digs. Pool posted a team-leading four blocks.Â
Grove City will visit South Division winner Washington & Jefferson (16-12, 11-5) in the conference tournament quarterfinals Tuesday at 7 p.m. The Wolverines picked up a 17-25, 25-20, 29-27, 25-22 victory October 10 at W&J during the regular season.
