GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's and women's swimming and diving teams swept this week's Presidents' Athletic Conference awards Monday afternoon.
Senior
Caleb Einolf (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) earned Men's Swimmer of the Week while freshman
George Witte (Columbia, S.C./Columbia Classical Christian) captured Newcomer of the Week.
On the women's side, sophomore
Hadleigh McNay (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) earned Swimmer of the Week and freshman
Mollie Massella (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) merited Newcomer of the Week recognition.
Einolf earned three wins Saturday in the Wolverines' non-conference home meet with Wooster. He won the 100 free in 46.89 seconds, then also won the 100 butterfly (50.16) and 100 breaststroke (55.91). He also contributed to a win in the 200 medley relay (1:32.72). His 100 butterfly and 100 breaststroke times are No. 1 so far this year in the conference. The medley relay time is also tops in the league.
Witte won the 200 free with a time of 1:44.98 and joined Einolf on the the 200 medley relay Saturday against Wooster. That 200 free time is No. 1 so far in the conference.
McNay swept the breaststroke Saturday in Grove City's 198-90 win Wooster. She won the 100 in 1:09.15 and captured the 200 breaststroke in 2:32.64. McNay also contributed to a win in the 200 medley relay (1:51.99).
Massella swept the butterfly Saturday against Wooster, winning the 100 fly in 1:01.89 and the 200 fly in a time of 2:13.90. She owns the conference's top times in both events this year.
The men's (3-3) and women's (4-2) swimming and diving teams visit Rochester for a non-conference dual meet Saturday at 1 p.m.
