Gray, Hudson, Dreves headline All-PAC honors

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- After capturing its first Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament title in 20 seasons, the Grove City College men's soccer team is well-represented on the All-PAC Teams, as announced Wednesday night.

Grove City (15-2-2) captured three of the conference's end-of-year individual awards. Junior midfielder Noah Gray (Glen Mills, Pa./The Christian Academy) earned Offensive Player of the Year honors while junior center back Colton Hudson (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) earned Defensive Player of the Year recognition from the conference's head coaches. The league's head coaches also selected Grove City head coach Mike Dreves as the conference's 2025 Coach of the Year.

Four teammates joined Gray and Hudson on the conference's First Team: senior defender Luke Kimmich (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional), senior midfielder Camden Thomas (North Lima, Ohio/South Range), junior defender Jake Kimmich (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) and freshman goalkeeper Keller Krieger (Jacksonville, Fla./Providence).

Senior midfielder Matt Herrmann (Hilton, N.Y./Paul V. Moore) earned Second Team All-PAC and sophomore midfielder Luke Ladas (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany Hills) merited Honorable Mention All-PAC.

Gray leads the conference with 14 goals and 35 points this year while his seven assists are fourth-best on the conference leaderboard. A Second Team All-PAC selection as a sophomore in 2024, Gray chalked up 10 goals and six assists during the 11-match conference schedule.

Gray is tied for eighth in program history with 14 goals this year and his 35 points are tied for No. 7 on Grove City's single-season leaderboard.

Hudson helped lead a Grove City defense that limited conference opponents to seven goals in 11 matches. The Wolverines then added two more shutouts on the way to winning the conference tournament. Overall, Grove City owns an 0.55 goals-against average for the season.

Hudson has added a goal and an assist this year, his third year as a starter in the Wolverines' back four.

Dreves earned his second Coach of the Year award after guiding Grove City to a 10-0-1 mark during the regular season. He earned his 200th career victory September 19 when the Wolverines earned a 2-0 win at Hope. Now in his 20th season as head coach at the College, Dreves ranks second in program history with 212 victories.

Grove City's 15 wins this year are tied for the second-most in program history. The 1996 team, co-captained by then-senior midfielder Dreves, finished 16-2.

Luke Kimmich has started all 19 matches this year at outside back after missing all but one match in 2024 due to injury. Kimmich ranks second on the team with five assists while also making major contributions to Grove City's defensive efforts.

A fifth-year senior, Kimmich earned Honorable Mention All-PAC in 2021. He has 17 career assists, which is tied for fourth in program history.

Thomas earned First Team All-Conference for the second straight season after recording five goals and two assists in conference play. He has started all 19 games this season, aiding the Wolverine efforts at both ends of the field.

Jake Kimmich joined Hudson in Grove City's center back tandem. A two-year starter at defender, Kimmich earned his second straight All-PAC selection. He received Honorable Mention All-PAC following the 2024 campaign.

Krieger has posted a 14-1-2 record this year, along with seven full shutouts. He has recorded a 0.49 goals-against average and an .864 save percentage. That is the lowest single-season GAA in program history. Krieger went 9-0-1 in conference play and had a hand in five shutouts.

A midfield stalwart for the Wolverines over the last four seasons, Herrmann earned his second career All-Conference honor. He has two assists this year while playing in 18 matches. Herrmann, who earned Second Team All-PAC in 2023, has started 63 career matches.

Herrmann also earned placement on the conference's Sportsmanship Team.

Ladas earned his first All-Conference award this year after moving in to the starting lineup. Ladas has started 17 total matches, including 10 in conference play. He chalked up three goals and an assist in league play and has six goals and two assists overall for the season.

Grove City won the conference tournament last Saturday afternoon with a 1-0 victory over visiting Franciscan. The Wolverines blanked Geneva in the semifinals November 5, 2-0. Thomas earned the tournament's Most Outstanding Player award while Krieger and senior midfielder Aidan Eck (Akron, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) joined Thomas on the All-Tournament Team.

The Wolverines will make their first NCAA Division III Tournament appearance since 1980 when they face Calvin at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Geneva, N.Y., at Hobart College.
