GROVE CITY, Pa. -- United Soccer Coaches honored the Grove City College men's and women's soccer programs with the organization's 2025-26 Team Academic Award, as announced Friday. United Soccer Coaches presents its Team Academic Award to teams that compile a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the academic year. 

The Grove City men's program compiled a 3.39 cumulative GPA last year while the women's squad achieved a team GPA of 3.52 in 2025-26. 

Both programs won the Presidents' Athletic Conference title and advanced to the respective NCAA Division III Championship Tournaments in 2025. It is the second straight season in which both programs secured the Team Academic Award.

The men's and women's soccer programs will begin preseason camp for the 2026 season August 17. Both teams open their match schedule Tuesday, September 1. The men begin a season-opening four-match homestand that night by hosting Carnegie Mellon at 7 p.m. Meanwhile, the women's team visits longtime foe Penn State Behrend in non-conference action at 7 p.m.
