GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team improved to 10-4 overall Saturday afternoon by capturing a 25-13, 18-25, 25-10, 25-21 victory over visiting Bethany (5-10, 2-4) in Presidents' Athletic Conference inter-divisional action at the Grove City College Arena.
Three Grove City players posted double-digit kill efforts Saturday, led by a 19-kill outing from junior
Sarah Hart (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty). Junior
Alayna Dorst (Middletown, Del./Middletown) chalked up 13 kills and junior
Kendra Klusch (Alliance, Ohio/Homeschooled) added 10 kills on 11 attacks.
Sophomore setter
Brooke Manfull (Wadsworth, Ohio/Wadsworth) recorded 19 assists while junior
Sarah Harris (Lebanon, Ohio/Mars Hill) contributed 14 assists. Grove City also finished the match with a season-high 12 aces. Dorst served four aces while Harris and Klusch both served three aces. Sophomore
Lilly Wojtala (Copley, Ohio/Revere) posted a pair of aces.
Klusch led the defense with five total blocks. Dorst and Hart each had two blocks. Wojtala led Grove City with 17 digs. Dorst added 11 digs.
Dorst posted her fifth straight "double-double" with her 13 kills and 11 digs. The reigning conference Offensive Player of the Week, Dorst is averaging 3.32 kills and 3.14 digs per set over the last five matches.
Grove City (3-3 PAC) will visit PAC North Division rival Westminster at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
