GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's tennis team clinched a bye to the semifinals of the upcoming Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Tournament by picking up a 6-1 home win Saturday afternoon over conference foe Washington & Jefferson (7-2, 4-2) at Walters-Zbell Courts.
Grove City (7-2, 5-1) swept the three doubles matches to earn the team doubles point. Four straight-set singles victories helped the Wolverines nail down the win. 
The Wolverines will be no lower than the No. 2 seed in the upcoming conference tournament. The six-team tournament begins October 14. 
Grove City concludes its conference schedule Monday at 4 p.m. with a trip to conference rival Waynesburg.
