BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's cross country team earned ninth place in the Green 6K race Friday afternoon at Lehigh University's Paul Short Run. Grove City finished with 301 team points, good for fourth among Division III Programs in the 38-team field. Division II PennWest Clarion won the event with 133 points.
Sophomore
Rebekah Burger (San Diego, Calif./Cambridge) paced Grove City by taking 41st place. Burger completed the 6,000-meter course in a time of 24 minutes, 21.9 seconds. Senior
Audrey Karwowski (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) earned 56th in 24:35.6 while sophomore
Abigail Nelson (Cheverly, Md.) followed with a time of 24:51.6 to claim 66th place.

Julianna Lindberg (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) crossed in 74th place (25:04.3) while freshman
Erika Doolittle (Clarington, Pa./Brookville) finished 79th in a time of 25:07.7.
Freshman
Ali Parish (Memphis, Tenn./Crosstown) took 80th place in 25:08.5 while fellow rookie
Lydia Wheaton (Bluemont, Va./St. Sebastian) rounded out the lineup with a time of 25:41.8. Wheaton finished 109th.Â
St. Michael's junior Fran Peterson won the event with a time of 22:12.5. Friday's race featured 305 runners.
Grove City will host its annual Alumni 5K Friday night at Robert E. Thorn Field as part of Homecoming Weekend.
