WEBSTER, N.Y. -- The Grove City College men's swimming and diving team opened the 2025-26 season Saturday by securing two wins at the Geneseo State Quad Meet, held at Webster Aquatic Center. Grove City defeated Brockport State, 203-76, and also claimed a 168-119 victory over Penn State Behrend. Host Geneseo State topped the Wolverines in the other portion of the quad meet, 213-80.
Junior 
C.J. Mayhew (Gaithersburg, Md./Homeschooled) helped pace Grove City by winning the 500 in a time of 4 minutes, 59.86 seconds. He added a third-place finish in the 1000 (10:27.17).
Grove City opened the meet by finishing runner-up in the 200 medley relay. Junior 
Owen Hancock (Brunswick, Ohio/Westside Christian), senior 
Caleb Einolf (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown), freshman 
George Witte (Columbia, S.C./Coventant Classical Christian) and senior 
Nathan Beukema (Kensington, Md./Homeschooled) combined for a time of 1:34.57.
Einolf recorded three runner-up finishes. He took second in the 100 breaststroke (56.61), the 100 free (47.51) and the 100 butterfly (51.64). 
Junior 
Andrew Buxbaum (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan) earned second place in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:15.34. He also took runner-up in the 200 individual medley, posting a 2:03.08 performance. 
Witte finished second in the 200 free (1:48.42), placing one spot ahead of sophomore 
Ryan Turner (Fombell, Pa./Riverside). Turner took third in the 1:49.64. 
Hancock added a third-place finish in the 100 backstroke (54.70).
The Wolverines (2-1) will visit Ashland next Saturday at 1 p.m. in a non-conference dual meet.
