WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Senior guard
Jonah Bock (Erie, Pa./McDowell) became the career program leader in made three-point goals Wednesday night but the Grove City College men's basketball team dropped a 55-51 decision at Washington & Jefferson (14-5, 10-4) in Presidents' Athletic Conference action at Salvitti Family Gymnasium.
Bock hit his 208th career three-pointer with 8:45 left in the second half, moving him past Shawn Carr for the all-time lead at Grove City. Carr hit 207 three-pointers during his career from 2004 to 2008.
Bock's three-pointer cut W&J's lead to 44-43. That marked the first of five times in the second half that Grove City closed to within a point. However, the Wolverines could not reclaim the lead down the stretch.

Chase Yarberough (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) led Grove City (13-6, 10-4) with 10 points. Senior forward
Russ Gump (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia), junior guard
Mike Christenson (Oakton, Va./Trinity) and sophomore center
Isaac Cherry (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Nordonia) all added eight points. Bock finished with six points on two three-pointers.
Christenson grabbed a game-high nine rebounds to help Grove City amass a 43-24 edge on the glass. Cherry and Yarberough both secured seven rebounds.
Grove City shot 21 of 56 (38 percent) from the field. W&J converted 20 of 48 (42 percent) field goal attempts. Grove City had 19 turnovers whereas W&J committed a dozen turnovers. Each team scored 13 points off turnovers.
Christenson recorded three steals. Cherry and sophomore center
Austin Johncour (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) both blocked two shots.
Matt Seidl led W&J with 15 points. The Presidents led 30-28 at halftime.
Grove City hosts Chatham (16-3, 13-1) at 3 p.m. Saturday. The Wolverines handed Chatham its lone league loss December 7, 72-62.
