GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Senior guard
Jaden Davinsizer (Harmony, Pa./Seneca Valley) fired in four of her five three-pointers in the fourth quarter while the Grove City College women's basketball team held visiting Saint Vincent to 28 percent (16 of 57) shooting from the field Saturday as the host Wolverines opened the second half of the Presidents' Athletic Conference schedule with a 59-47 win in the Grove City College Arena.
Davinsizer finished with a game-high 15 points after going 5 for 8 from behind the three-point line. Senior forward
Clara Hannon (Grove City, Pa./Grove City) added 10 points for Grove City (9-7, 7-4), which led for the final 33 minutes of the game.
Grove City led 37-33 late in the third quarter but a jumper and three-pointer from Hannon gave the Wolverines a 42-33 lead at the end of the period. Davinsizer pushed the lead to 45-33 with a three-pointer on the first possession of the fourth quarter.
Saint Vincent (8-8, 7-4) whittled the lead to 45-38 with 7:22 to go but Grove City broke open the game with an 8-0 spurt. Senior guard
Mara Polczynski (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) put back an offensive rebound while Davinsizer sank three-pointers on consecutive possessions to give the Wolverines a 53-38 lead.

Reese Hasley (Cheswick, Pa./Deer Lakes) gave Grove City its largest lead, 59-42.
Overall, Grove City shot 22 of 72 (31 percent) from the field. Grove City hit 11 of 30 (37 percent) three-point attempts, including 5-for-11 accuracy in the fourth quarter.
Grove City led 19-10 after one quarter after scoring the final 10 points of the period. Freshman forward
Alexis Hudson (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) sparked the run with a jumper while Polczynski's layup and three-pointer gave Grove City a 17-10 lead. Junior center
Meredith Sherrerd (New Braunfels, Texas/New Braunfels) capped the outburst with a putback.
Senior guard
Haley Hertzler (McKeesport, Pa./McKeesport) gave the Wolverines their largest lead of the first half, 26-12, when she hit a three-pointer 2:30 into the second quarter. Saint Vincent closed the margin to 30-23 by halftime, however.
Hasley, Hudson and Polczynski all finished with seven points. Polczynski collected 11 rebounds, includnig six at the offensive end. Sherrerd and junior center
Emma Ulmer (Milton, Pa./Northumberland Christian) both had seven rebounds as Grove City earned a 54-45 edge on the glass.
Hasley and Polczynski both had three asssists. Hasley and Hertzler each recorded three steals. Grove City finished the game with 14 turnovers while Saint Vincent committed 15 turnovers.
Camden Bashor led Saint Vincent with 11 points.
Davinsizer now has 149 career three-point goals. She moved past McKenzie Black (2015-19) for second place on Grove City's career list. Black made 147 three-pointers in her career. Abby Moose (2001-05) holds the school record with 172 made three-pointers.
Grove City will host longtime rival Westminster at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in conference action.
