GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's volleyball team continued its seven-match homestand Tuesday night by sweeping Carlow in non-conference action at the Grove City College Arena, 25-12, 25-21, 25-19.
Junior
Lila Stonehouse (Hatboro, Pa./Abington) paced Grove City (8-7) with 10 kills on 15 attacks while sophomore
Alayna Dorst (Middletown, Del./Middletown) added six kills.
Junior setter
Brooklyn Wirebaugh (Medina, Ohio/Cuyahoga Valley Christian) recorded 14 assists and senior
Kennedy Kerr (East Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) collected eight assists.
Dorst, freshman
Bailey Elliott (Brentwood, Tenn./Brentwood Academy) and sophomore
Lily Lagaras (Crofton, Md./Crofton) all served three aces. Sophomore libero
Julia Fisher (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) added two aces as the Wolverines finished with 14 aces.
Freshman
Lilly Pool (Ashland, Ohio/Ashland) posted a team-leading four blocks while Stonehouse tallied three blocks. Fisher led Grove City with 15 digs while Dorst chalked up nine digs.
The Wolverines return to action next Thursday, October 3, when they host Penn State Shenango at 7 p.m. That will be Grove City's final tune-up for Presidents' Athletic Conference play, which begins October 5 against visiting Chatham.
