ERIE, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's soccer team concluded its non-conference schedule Saturday afternoon by dropping a 2-1 decision at longtime regional rival Penn State Behrend (6-1).
Behrend broke a 1-1 tie with 4:16 remaining when Marlene Andrade scored an unassisted goal.
Grove City (3-3-1) trailed 1-0 at halftime but forged a tie 4:12 into the second half when sophomore defender
Emma Dailey (East Brady, Pa./Karns City) scored her first goal of 2024. Freshman midfielder
Marina Hahn (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) assisted Dailey's goal.
Trinity Pretash gave Behrend a 1-0 lead by scoring at 14:43.
Penn State Behrend owned a 15-7 edge in total shots. Behrend recorded nine shots on goal and Grove City had four shots on goal. The Lions had five corner kicks while Grove City recorded four corner kicks.

Courtney Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) stopped six shots for Grove City.
The Wolverines open Presidents' Athletic Conference play Wednesday at 7 p.m. against visiting Bethany at Don Lyle Field.
