PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College women's soccer team dropped a 4-1 decision Wednesday night at No. 6 Carnegie Mellon in non-conference action. CMU (3-0-3) scored twice in the final eight minutes to seal the victory.

Carnegie Mellon broke a scoreless tie with 4:03 remaining in the first half on a goal by Nicole Lazarakis. CMU doubled its lead 6:34 into the second half when Cecelia Dieterich scored off a Vivian Wang assist. Saveria Ulizzi scored at 82:00 and 85:04 to close out the scoring.Â
Carnegie Mellon held a 12-4 edge in shots on goal, along with an 18-5 advantage in total shots. The Tartans totaled seven corner kicks and Grove City had one corner.Â

Courtney Lisman (Mars, Pa./Mars) stopped eight shots for Grove City. That matches her season high.Â
Grove City will visit Penn State Behrend at 1 p.m. Saturday in the non-conference finale. The Wolverines will open their Presidents' Athletic Conference schedule next Wednesday at 7 p.m. against visiting Bethany.Â
