GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's lacrosse team earned its fifth straight victory Wednesday night by rolling past visiting Saint Vincent in Presidents' Athletic Conference action, 20-5, at Robert E. Thorn Field. Grove City (8-4, 3-0 PAC) jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the first quarter and pushed the lead to 12-2 by halftime.
Twelve men scored for the Wolverines, including four players with multiple goals. Junior attacks
Matt Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) and
Zachary Hougan (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) both fired in four goals for Grove City. Junior midfielder
Kobi Bui (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) and freshman attack
Patrick Law (Jupiter, Fla./The King's Academy) each scored twice.Â
Graduate student attack
James Petrolle (Damascus, Md./Damascus) and freshman
Davis Schneider (Winfield, Ill./Wheaton Academy) each recorded a goal and two assists. Junior midfielder
Luke Jayne (Vero Beach, Fla./Saint Edward's) and sophomore midfielder
Boden Davidson (Scottsdale, Ariz./Scottsdale Christian) both tallied a goal and an assist.Â

Blythe pumped in three goals in the first 10 minutes to help Grove City jump out to its 8-0 lead. Hougan scored twice in the first quarter, then added two man-up goals in the third quarter as the Wolverines pushed their lead to 17-2 after 45 minutes.Â
Lehberg won 13 of 17 faceoffs and scooped up a team-leading 10 ground balls. Junior defender
Zach Furry (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) added five ground balls. Furry caused a team-high three turnovers. Fox, junior midfielder

Grove City outshot Saint Vincent, 59-20. Grove City held a 31-11 edge in shots on goal. Saint Vincent (3-7, 1-1 PAC) had 26 turnovers while Grove City turned over the ball 21 times.Â

Danny Stone (Chantilly, Va./Flint Hill) made three saves in the first half to earn his seventh win of the season. Sophomore
Tyler Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) played the second half and also stopped three shots.Â
Grove City concludes its three-game homestand Saturday at 3 p.m. when the Wolverines host conference foe Franciscan at Thorn Field. Grove City has won nine straight games at home.
