NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's lacrosse team improved to 7-1 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference by pulling out a 15-12 win Wednesday evening at Westminster in conference action at UPMC Field.
Grove City led 13-7 after three quarters but Westminster trimmed the lead to 13-10 with 10 minutes remaining. However, Grove City helped seal the win with two goals in a two-minute span.
Senior midfielder
Lucy Martin (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) scored an unassisted goal with 7:59 left and freshman attack
Taylor Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) scored two minutes later to give Grove City a 15-10 lead. Freshman attack
Gwen Shilling (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional ) assisted Blythe's score.
Seven Grove City players scored in the win, led by a four-goal outing from senior midfielder
Madison Nazigian (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest). Blythe and Martin both scored three times while Shilling posted two goals.

Abby Roetering (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg), sophomore attack
Jackie Rowell (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) and freshman midfielder
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) also scored.
Nazigian added four assists, giving her an eight-point night. Shilling added two assists while Blythe, Martin, Roetering and Rowell all had assists. Junior attack
Meah Groves (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) also recorded an assist.

Emily Arnold (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) and junior goalie
Elyse Kiggins (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) all recorded four ground balls. Roetering and Stevenson each had three ground balls.
Arnold, Nazigian and Roetering all caused four turnovers. Junior
Amber Wartman (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron) caused three turnovers. Overall, the Wolverines pressured Westminster into two dozen turnovers. Grove City, which led 9-5 at halftime, finished the game with 17 turnovers.
Nazigian led Grove City with 13 draw controls. Wartman had four draw controls.
Kiggins stopped 10 shots to earn her 11th victory of the season. Grove City (12-4 overall) held a 40-28 edge in total shots.
Grove City will conclude the regular season Saturday at Washington & Jefferson (8-0 PAC). The game will start at 3 p.m. at Alexandre Stadium.
