Box Score PITTSBURGH -- The Grove City College women's lacrosse team improved to 5-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference by earning a 13-9 road win Saturday over Chatham at Graham Field. It is Grove City's sixth straight victory.
Senior midfielder
Madison Nazigian (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest) fired in six goals to help lead Grove City's offensive attack. Freshman midfielder
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) tossed in a pair of goals and added an assist while junior midfielder
Abby Roetering (Glenelg, Md./Glenelg) added a goal and an assist.Â
The Wolverines also received goals from senior midfielder
Lucy Martin (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair), junior defender
Amber Wartman (Ellicott City, Md./Mount Hebron), sophomore attack
Jackie Rowell (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) and freshman attack

Grove City (10-3 overall) led 7-4 at halftime and then doubled its lead in the first seven minutes of the second half as Rowell, Stevenson and Martin all scored goals. Chatham trimmed the lead to 11-8 by the end of the third quarter but goals from Nazigian and Stevenson in the first three minutes of the fourth quarter helped Grove City sew up the win.
Wartman led Grove City's defense with three caused turnovers. Roetering caused two turnovers. Wartman also led the Wolverines with five ground balls. Nazigian and Roetering each collected four ground balls.Â
Grove City held a 28-19 edge in total shots. The Wolverines had 19 turnovers while Chatham turned over possession 21 times.Â
Junior goalie
Elyse Kiggins (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) stopped five shots to earn her ninth win of the season.Â
The Wolverines will host Thiel at 5 p.m. Tuesday in conference action at Don Lyle Field. Grove City then closes its home schedule next Saturday with a 12 p.m. home game against Allegheny.
