GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College women's lacrosse team captured its third straight Presidents' Athletic Conference title Saturday afternoon by earning a 10-4 win over visiting Chatham (13-4) in the Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament championship game at Robert E. Thorn Field.
Grove City (16-3) limited Chatham to 19 total shots and harassed the Cougars into committing 29 turnovers. Senior goalie
Mia Gallagher (Mogadore, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban) stopped 10 shots in securing her program-record 16th victory of the season.

Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) helped pace the Wolverine offense by scoring three times. Junior midfielder
Jess Robinette (Mohnton, Pa./Twin Valley) and sophomore midfielder
Mia Mygatt (Silver Spring, Md./Brookewood) both scored a pair of goals.Â
Grove City also received goals from senior attack

Gwen Shilling (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) and freshman midfielder
Avery Anderson (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny).
Junior attack
Taylor Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) recorded six assists. Mygatt, Robinette and Stevenson also had assists.Â
Three of Blythe's assists game in the first quarter as Grove City held a 3-0 lead after 15 minutes. Stevenson, Mygatt and Robinette all scored in the final 5:25 of the opening quarter. Chatham cut Grove City's lead to 5-3 by halftime but the Wolverines outscored Chatham over the final 30 minutes, 5-1.
Rowell's power play goal 3:25 into the second half gave Grove City a 6-3 lead. Shilling scored with 5:49 left in the third quarter and Stevenson added a power play goal with 13:18 left in the game to help sew up the win.Â
Gallagher and Mygatt both picked up five ground balls. Shilling, sophomore defender
Reagan Thomas (Canonsburg, Pa./Canon-McMillan) and freshman defender
Gabri Hallam (Buffalo, N.Y./Clarence) all picked up four ground balls.Â
Hallam caused three turnovers while Anderson and senior defender
Reese Hasley (Cheswick, Pa./Deer Lakes) both caused two turnovers. Hallam also tallied five draw controls and Shilling had four draw controls.Â
Grove City held a 25-19 edge in total shots. The Wolverines finished with 32 turnovers.Â
Grove City has earned the conference's automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. The tournament pairings will be announced Monday at 10:30 a.m.
