GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's lacrosse team placed 13 men in the scoring column Saturday afternoon as the Wolverines earned an 18-2 home win over Southern Virginia (1-5) in non-conference action at rainy Robert E. Thorn Field. Grove City (4-4) charged out to a 5-0 lead in the first 13 minutes on the way to the victory.

Jayne scored a pair of unassisted goals in the first quarter to help Grove City grab its early lead.
Kobi Bui, Evans and Greene also scored in the opening period. Bui added three goals in the third quarter while Stevenson and Lehberg both scored in a six-second span as the Wolverines extended their lead to 14-1 after three quarters.Â

Samuel Busby (Doswell, Va./Patrick Henry) both caused two turnovers.Â
Junior midfielder
Trey Zabroski (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) led the Wolverines with five ground balls. He won 4 of 5 faceoff opportunities. Lehberg won 10 of 14 faceoffs and collected four ground balls.Â
Senior
Danny Stone (Chantilly, Va./Flint Hill) made five saves in goal during the first half. He earned his third win of the season. Sophomore
Tyler Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriots Ridge) stopped three shots in the second half.
Grove City outshot the Knights, 60-32. Grove City had 21 turnovers while Southern Virginia accumulated 26 turnovers.Â
The Wolverines will host John Carroll at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
