Lucy Martin (Silver Spring, Md./Montgomery Blair) fired in six goals Monday afternoon and fellow senior midfielder
Madison Nazigian (Forest, Va./Jefferson Forest) scored five times as the Grove City College women's lacrosse team earned a 17-10 non-conference road win over Alfred at Yunevich Stadium. It is Grove City's third straight victory.

Taylor Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) and
Tori Stevenson (Butler, Pa./Butler) both scored twice while junior defender
Emily Arnold (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana) and freshman
Gwen Shilling (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional) also scored in Monday's win.
Blythe and Martin both recorded two assists while Nazigian, Shilling and Stevenson added assists. Junior defender

Martin and Nazigian both scored twice in the first quarter to help the Wolverines (3-1) jump out to a 5-2 lead. Nazigian then scored twice in the first five minutes of the second quarter and Blythe's goal with 10:19 left in the first half extended the lead to 8-2. Grove City led 9-4 at halftime, then owned a 14-5 advantage after three periods.
Roetering led Grove City's defensive efforts by causing five turnovers. Wartman caused three turnovers and Stevenson recorded a pair of caused turnovers. Roetering and junior goalie
Elyse Kiggins (Zelienople, Pa./Seneca Valley) each picked up a team-leading five ground balls.
Stevenson secured six draw controls while Nazigian had five draw controls. Wartman contributed four draw controls.
Grove City outshot the Saxons, 34-27. The Wolverines turned over possession 20 times. Alfred had 22 turnovers.
Kiggins made four saves during the first three quarters, earning the win. Sophomore
Mia Gallagher (Mogadore, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban) stopped two shots in the fourth quarter.
Grove City will open its home schedule Saturday at 12 p.m. when the Wolverines host Oswego State at Don Lyle Field.
