ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Defending national semifinalist Rochester Institute of Technology earned a 22-7 home victory Friday afternoon over the Grove City College men's lacrosse team in non-conference aciton at Tiger Stadium. R.I.T., ranked fourth in NCAA Division III, led 7-1 after one quarter.

Junior midfielder Kobi Bui (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) paced Grove City (3-2) with three goals while junior attack Zachary Hougan (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) scored a pair of goals. Junior attack Matt Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima) and freshman midfielder Tyson Bui (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) also scored Friday.

Junior midfielder Luke Jayne (Vero Beach, Fla./Saint Edward's) assisted two goals while graduate student attack James Petrolle (Damascus, Md./Damascus), junior midfielder Alec Jones (Chesterfield, N.J./Notre Dame) and sophomore defender Andrew Glasgow (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) all had one assist each.

R.I.T. outshot the Wolverines, 55-42, and held a 37-22 advantage in shots on goal. Grove City had 22 turnovers while the Tigers had 20 turnovers.

Sophomore Colton Lehberg (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./Santa Fe Christian) led Grove City with eight ground balls. Blythe and junior midfielder Trey Zabroski (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) both picked up five ground balls. 

Senior goalie Danny Stone (Chantilly, Va./Flint Hill) made 10 saves in the first half. Sophomore Tyler Gladstone (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) stopped five shots in the second half. 

Friday's game started a three-game road swing for the Wolverines. Grove City will visit Roanoke at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Salem, Va.
