GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Grove City College men's lacrosse team improved to 2-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference by earning a 26-1 home win Tuesday afternoon over Thiel at Robert E. Thorn Field.
Fifteen men scored goals for the Wolverines, including six players with multiple goals. Freshman midfielder
Tyson Bui (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) paced Grove City (3-1 overall) with four goals while junior attack
Matt Blythe (Mendon, N.Y./Honeoye Falls-Lima), junior midfielder
Alec Jones (Chesterfield, N.J./Notre Dame) and freshman midfielder
Logan Fox (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Christian) all scored three times.Â

Rigdon Greene (Marietta, Ga./Pope) both scored twice.Â

Petrolle and
Tyson Bui both had six-point outings. Petrolle finished with five assists while Bui assisted a pair of goals. Schneider recorded four assists while Hougan added two assists. Agawa, Blythe, Davidson, Greene and Zabroski also had assists.
Prentiss won 11 of 12 faceoffs and led Grove City with nine ground balls. Zabroski had six ground balls while senior midfielder
Prince Ayivon (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) picked up five ground balls. Sophomore
Colton Lehberg (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./Santa Fe Christian) won all seven of his faceoffs and finished the game with four ground balls.Â
Grove City held a 57-13 edge in total shots, including a 39-5 advantage in shots on goal. Thiel had 20 turnovers while Grove City had 17 turnovers.Â
Freshman
Kyle Gill (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) made his collegiate debut in goal and earned the win with four saves.Â
Grove City will visit fourth-ranked Rochester Institute of Technology at 12 p.m. Saturday in non-conference play.
