DuBOIS, Pa. -- Senior guard
Jonah Bock (Erie, Pa./McDowell) fired in 22 points while three teammates also scored in double figures Friday night as the Grove City College men's basketball team opened the 2024-25 season with an 88-78 non-conference road win over Penn State DuBois at the PAW Center.

Kyle Randle (Willowick, Ohio/Eastlake North) pumped in 16 points for the Wolverines while senior guard
Chase Yarberough (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) tossed in 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting. Sophomore center
Isaac Cherry (Sagamore Hills, Ohio/Nordonia) poured in 14 points.
Eighteen of Bock's 22 points came via the three-point shot. Overall, Grove City went 9 of 20 (45 percent) on three-point attempts. The Wolverines finished 30 of 59 (51 percent) from the field for the game.
Grove City led 48-40 at halftime and led by double digits throughout the second half. Back-to-back jumpers from Yarberough and junior guard
Mike Christenson (Oakton, Va./Trinity) gave Grove City an 80-58 lead with seven minutes left.
Penn State DuBois (1-1) trimmed the lead to 83-75 with 56 seconds left but Yarberough's 4-for-4 accuracy at the foul line helped seal the win.

Russ Gump (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) and senior forward
John Ward (Indian Land, S.C./Covenant Day, N.C.) all grabbed five rebounds.
Cherry led Grove City with three assists. Freshman guard
Anderson Skelton (Charlotte, N.C./South Mecklenburg) recorded four steals in his collegiate debut. Randle had three thefts.
Grove City forced 15 turnovers. The Wolverines turned over the ball 24 times.
Penn State DuBois shot 28 of 69 (41 percent) from the floor. Kaleb Pryor led the Lions with 21 points.
Grove City will visit Pitt-Greensburg at 7 p.m. Saturday in non-conference action.
